Edgy Rumble !!!

 So who got the Royal Rumble result right ?? Definitely not me. . .But should have seen that coming. Edge winning the Rumble gave serious Deja vu vibes from 2010 when he returned as well as 2014 when Batista had returned. Why you ask? 2010 because - Edge was to return but nobody expected such an impact and 2014 because Batista was not the frontrunner in anyone's predictions.

We'll look at the possible scenarios for Edge, but first we need to know what Edge needs to achieve or rather what is left for him to achieve. Edge is a multi-time world champion, hall of famer. money in the bank winner, multi-time royal rumble winner. . . . . so only the NXT title is what remains in possibly the best career in present day wrestling. Now the scenarios -

1. NXT title - as I said the only big title that he hasn't won yet is the NXT Championship. Now with Balor retaining the title and securing it for WrestleMania, Edge  vs Balor seems to be a solid contest. Similar build, good move set, matching charisma and flourish. I think chances of this match is slightly less as WWE will use for its bigger brands. 

2. Going against Drew - This will be a good match, Drew will benefit greatly from this as facing a legit wrestler will validate his reign as a champion. Drew's championship reign is lacking some spice and Edge can be the X factor. 

3. Going against Roman - Again a very exciting match-up, Roman was a good wrestler but now is even an edgy heel. There is a lot of potential in this match but it needs a proper build up. Edge would also need to bring up crafty best 

My Pick - Jeff hardy (rooting for him to win the chamber match)

Yes, everyone has forgot that Jeff hardy is still kicking ass in WWE. His match against Elias shows that he can still fight anyone in the WWE. Now, let me take you back to Extreme rules 2011 - Edge vs Hardy ladder match!!! Absolute rampage. If Edge goes up against McIntyre or Reigns he will the underdog as both Reigns and McIntyre are physically more strong competitors than him. With Hardy, an old rivalry can be reignited, continuing from their last bout. It will be a fight of the evenly matched. And WWE can use nostalgia to crank up the ratings too.
